Lotus Temple is situated in New Delhi. It was constructed and opened to the public in December 1986. It was designed by an Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba. Lotus Temple’s structure is dedicated to Baha’i faith. Special about the Lotus Temple is that every person irrespective of their nationality, gender, cast can go there. About Structure of Lotus Temple
“Lotus Temple” as its name shows, it is constructed in the shape of Lotus, It is made up Greek white marble which can be freely use any religion like Hinduism, Buddism, Islam and Jainism. It contains of 27 petals made up of marbels. There are nine Gates to Central Hall. which has a capacity of around 2,500 people at a time. Temple is designed in such a way that there is no external lighting required to light up the vast Prayer Hall. All light filters through inner folds of the Lotus and diffuses through entire hall of the temple, which functions as a skylight. It is surrounded by nine ponds and gardens, and spreads over almost 26 acres.

2. The Timing of Prayers are 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM for only 5 Minutes, so please remain silent or try to avoid leaving the Prayer Hall in this time.
